The General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Rhineland-Palatinate invites families to explore life on a Roman estate in a guided tour suitable for children on the occasion of the Open Monument Day. During the tour with tour guide Carmen Müller, families will learn exciting facts about life on the land in our region during Roman times. The rich owner built the Villa Otrang as a magnificent house with a luxurious bathing complex and decorated his living quarters with colorful mosaics that can still be discovered today.

Which animals lived on a farm at that time and which products were cultivated is presented as well as the food and drink of the Romans. The tour is supplemented by various objects that the children can touch.
