Monday Night Jazzkonzert
Jun 2, 2025
Bitburg
Andreas Kremer lives deep in the dark forests of the Eifel. As an anaesthetist at Prüm Hospital, he is practically obliged by his job to step on the gas. And he does - but only on piano and guitar in Bitburg.
A mixture of contemporary jazz, jazz rock and Latin jazz. Original compositions, pieces by Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Astor Piazolla and Sting. Support comes from another German low mountain range - the Westerwald. It is rare for Westerwald residents to leave their beautiful homeland. An opportunity not to be missed. As a drummer and vibraphonist, Michael Strunk is known in the professional scene as a drum coach, session musician and arranger (even today, Vinnie Colaiuta sleeps badly when he thinks of the superior competition from the Westerwald!) In addition to the good old Fender jazz bass, Martin Klein has acquired a double bass especially for Bitburg (technical jargon: a 'granny') and is accordingly heavy to lug around. The question the musicians ask themselves: Is there a good Pilsner in Bitburg or do they have to bring Hachenburg bottled beer with them? The Jazz-Initiative Eifel assures that the musicians (and guests) will be supplied with Bitburger Pils.
The Monday Night Jazz will take place on Monday, June 2, 2025, starting at 8 p.m. in the Jazz Ballroom at the Bowling Center Bitburg, Charles-Lindbergh-Allee 5. Admission free.
