Schloss Roth
Roth an der Our
The baroque buildings of Roth Castle near Roth an der Our, together with the gatehouse in front, the neighboring early Romanesque order church and the old trees, form an incomparable ensemble.
Originally built as an outpost of Vianden Castle, the castle was donated to the Knights Templar around 1220. In 1314, the Kommende Roth passed into the hands of the Order of St. John, where it remained until the French Revolution.
Today, Roth Castle is privately owned and can currently only be viewed from the outside.
