Lascheider Kapelle
Mettendorf
The Lascheider Chapel, also known as the Maria Hilf Chapel, is situated in an extremely idyllic location in the middle of the forest - a true place of tranquillity.
A Mettendorf citizen built this chapel after his return from the Second World War to show his gratitude for his safe return home.
Many people have expressed their gratitude to Our Lady at this place - numerous plaques of thanks can be found in the chapel.
A hiking trail leading to the chapel is signposted from the village square in Mettendorf, from the parking lot at Roter Puhl (Mettendorf sports field) or from the village community center in the neighboring village of Sinspelt.
